Born to a Baltic refugee family, I have always been fascinated by patterns of growth, repetition, and the abstract.

Both sides of my family sacrificed nearly everything to escape Soviet occupation in the Baltics during the last great war, and their stories stick with me to this day.

I maintain my cultural ties to my Latvian and Lithuanian roots, and incorporate my people’s unique experiences, views, ideas, and ways of life into both my life, and the artwork I bring into this world.
